Sunlight Assessments UK Ltd ("we", "us") provides residential daylight and sunlight

assessment reports. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why,

and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

## What we collect

**Information you give us:**

- When you use our online quote calculator: your name, email address, phone number,

  the property address and postcode, and your answers about the property and project.

- When you contact us by email, phone or a contact form: your contact details and the

  contents of your message.

- If you become a customer: details needed to prepare your report and invoice you.

**Information collected automatically:**

- Usage data from cookies and similar technologies, including pages visited, how you

  found us (for example a Google search or advert), device and browser information,

  and interactions with our quote calculator.

## Why we use it

- **To provide our service** — preparing quotes and daylight/sunlight assessment

  reports, and communicating with you about them (legal basis: performance of a

  contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract).

- **To follow up enquiries** — if you start a quote but don't finish, or request a

  quote, we may contact you about it (legal basis: legitimate interests in responding

  to enquiries about our services).

- **To improve our website and advertising** — we use Google Analytics and Google Ads

  conversion tracking to understand how visitors find and use our site, and to measure

  which advertising leads to genuine enquiries. This may include sharing conversion

  information (such as an advertising click identifier) with Google (legal basis:

  consent for non-essential cookies; legitimate interests in measuring our

  advertising).

- **To keep records** — accounting, tax and legal obligations (legal basis: legal

  obligation).

We do **not** sell your personal information.

## Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run our business, who process data on our behalf:

- **Google** (analytics and advertising measurement)

- **Brevo** (email delivery)

- **Make** and **monday.com** (workflow and customer record management)

- **Microsoft** (email and documents)

- **GoDaddy** and **Netlify** (website hosting)

- **Ideal Postcodes** (address lookup)

Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected

by appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual

clauses.

## Cookies

Our website uses cookies to make the site work, analyse traffic (Google Analytics) and

measure advertising (Google Ads). You can decline non-essential cookies via your

browser settings or the cookie notice, and opt out of Google Analytics at

## How long we keep it

- Enquiries and quotes that don't proceed: up to 2 years, then deleted.

- Customer records and reports: 6 years after the work completes (legal and tax

  requirements).

- Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics settings and is aggregated or

  anonymised where possible.

## Your rights

You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; ask us to

correct or delete it; object to or restrict our processing; withdraw consent at any

time; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these,
