Care home Internal Assessment

The LPA raised concerns regarding the bedrooms & living accommodation  facing the internal court yard would receive sufficient daylight, 

We modelled the project in 3d and ran the simulation algorithm which takes into account external factors such as tress and building , and also window locations and sizes. The  software builds a LUX light map of the rooms and highlight the areas which fall below the standards set out in the BRE guidance.

Once we had a detailed understanding of the areas of the rooms that fell short of an acceptable light levels we added extra windows and enlarged the existing ones to achieve the minimum standards.
